Will it drive you less traffic?

Well as I can see nowadays the .com seemed to take over the market and most people are more likely to write in .com into their browser, so but let's say that you planned about a name for your company and you are going to register the .com domain, because it is the most famous, but then you find out that the .com domain has already been taken, what would you do? Change the name of the company? or simply register .net or .org or something else? if you decide to instead making a .net or so, would that mean that you will receive less hits and less traffic? or you think that it won't make any difference?

It doesn't matter what domen do you use. The only important is contect of your site and good SEO. Domen zone is the last think in this situation.

Yeah. I currently only own one .com domain. The rest are net's and orgs. Even if it's a .com, it isn't going to make a difference without a domain. Any supid domain with good traffic is woth tons Smile

Well It doesn't matter what domen do you use. You can not generate good tarffic even you use .com. You have to make good content and good
search engine optimisation. That is the important things for you.

Though a major keyword in your actual domain name certainly helps.

Keyword in your URL does help, but when you choose a domain for your company many times you may not go with keywords and you would need to go with your brand name. And if you are an Australian business man its always better to register an domain name with .au extension.
