I have created this Car Classifieds - CarSearch.net.au about a year ago. The site is growing, my goal is to have 100,000 cars there, maybe you can suggest what should be done differently and what should be left the same

Thanks

Nice work!

Is google indexing your vehicle info pages?
Might I suggest you create a sitemap listing all the cars available.

Where else aside from the directories on your links page are you advertising?

Don't foget about offline marketing.
Place an ad in the your local newspapers?
Radio advertising works!

Thanks for your feedback,

Google is indexing all the car pages, putting many of them into supplemental results. Initially I was bit worried about it, but then I watched this http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3494613828170903728. Bit of a video on what Google Guy Matt Cutts has to say about supplementals.

Sitemap listing for all the cars available is not a good idea, because those listings come and go. The site is easily crawled so I am not going to worry about sitemap for now. The only thing I need to do is to attack marketing faster. If that works by the time I get to 20k cars I will need to get my own dedi server. Any suggestions for dedi with datacenters in Australia and something that wont break my bank?

I am not sure what you mean by this, are you looking for advertising space? With every car I have some financial ads and few google ads here and there. But I can always create more advertising space.

That's a few 2 many variables for google to follow isn't it?

But it does follow it for now, I will have look into .htacess modifications. Google has some rule in guidelines that every dynamic URL page should be accessible from a static URL. So I better fix it.

I like the design; it looks well executed. One thought, any reason why there is the text "CAR AD Example" over your banner ad? That looks odd.

I thought it looked not right, this text should be on top of the miniturised ad example.
