Is PR Really Important?

I think Pagerank is very important factor to boost your reputation and revenue. If you have a high page rank then you can sell text links to others and make good money from link selling.

High pagerank bring buyer to your site fast and also you found good traffic to your site. It also boost your domain rank too.

PR is highly overated. I have been active on many forums and realized that PR is only interesting or useful for people that are trying to sell PR to less experienced SEO experts

PR is an indication of the link popularity of any one page. Link popularity is very important for getting ranked. However a high PR site is only good if coupled with optimised links and a optimimised site

I would say PR is just a form of mathematical calculation. Even sites with less pR or 0 PR would be ranking higher in SERP rather than sites with higher PR. So i always tell my friends and colleagues not to obsess on PR.
